A small event in Noel Savignac’s past has blossomed into a wonderful career as an abstract-impressionist artist. A college class in Modern Art presented paintings of abstract art that were for him a curiosity and difficult to understand. Those images persisted in his mind over the years and became a fascination and direction later in his life.
Prior to his artistic pursuits he spent many successful years as a consulting scientist. Although satisfying he wanted something more challenging and creative. Fine art was the answer. He obtained a basic education in art and continues to take classes and workshops from accomplished oil and acrylic painters. Most of his paintings are landscapes in oils on canvas or hardboard where the basic image is transformed with textures, unique color mixtures and juxtapositions to show emotion and feelings. Now he is painting and sharing his paintings with others.
